Editorial Policies.

Editorial Review: All articles, whether solicited or unsolicited, are subject to editorial review. The Spokane County Medical Society editorial board reserves the right to edit all contributions for clarity and length, as well as the right not to publish submitted articles and advertisements, for any reason. All material will be reviewed by the editor, the editorial staff and/or the editorial board as needed. Articles will be edited to ensure clarity, good grammar and appropriate language, and to conform to style, format and space restrictions.

Authorship: Accepted material becomes the copyrighted property of "The Message" and may not be republished or reprinted, in part or in whole, by the author or any other party without permission. Requests for reprints by another publication may be authorized at the discretion of the editor.

Welcome to "The Message".

Welcome to the online version of the Spokane County Medical Society's newsletter "The Message". Your source on local issues affecting your medical profession, your patients and your Medical Society. The editorial board of "The Message" has established the following guidelines for submission of articles:

When possible, articles must be submitted in an electronic format, either by computer disk or by email to Michelle Caird, Executive Assistant to CEO, 509-325-5010, ext. 25
Brief, concise articles are preferred.
Feature articles should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words.
If a photo is included, please provide a digital image with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. The preferred formats are TIF or EPS.
The deadline for articles is the fifteen of each month prior to the month of publication; e.g., the deadline for the September issue is August 15.
Authors may suggest a title for their articles. Titles should be brief. Incude a title page with all authors' names and their academic ranks and affiliations.

Free, Limited Advertising Space for Members.

Spokane County Medical Society offers its members free, limited space for classified ads in "The Message" to advertise items for sale.
