Patient Stories
I'm so excited about everything that you and your program have done for me and my family. I'll never forget your call after the news about the cancer was given to you. You said "Paula, don't worry we will take care of you." It makes me cry every time I think about how scared, confused and not knowing how I would ever get this taken care of. Your calming reassurance and your genuine concern for me has always been so supportive and wonderful. I have family members that haven't showed the support you have. So once again I Thank you with all my heart.
Thank You With All My Heart,
-Paula
PS: If not for your program, what would of happened to Josh? So Josh says, "Thanks for letting me keep my Mom."

The Norco representative came to our home and brought the c-pap machine, setting Craig up. I thank you and the Project Access organization for your hard work and generosity. Craig is using the c-pap and adjusting. This will really make a difference in his life. We truly appreciate your help. Thank you.

To all of the people who made Project Access a reality:
Hi, my name is Serena. I am a participant in Project Access, I just wanted to say thank you all so very much for the hard work you have done to make Project Access for people like me. I appreciate all the time and effort the doctors and nurses put into me for no charge. It takes a lot of love and compassion to do what you do. I appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you.

My name is Lorrie and I am 47 years old. I am not a bad person but I have made some poor choices and because of those choices I am a felon. I was released from prison to a halfway house last June with a prolapsed uterus, a mass of unknown origin on my uterus, and a very large painful cyst on my breast. I had no medical insurance and did not qualify for state assistance because I was still considered a federal inmate.
More than anything I just wanted to get a job and get back into society. I woke up every day in pain and scared to death that the mass inside me was or could be cancer. My daughter did some checking for me and got me an appointment with Spokane Falls Family Clinic as well as Planned Parenthood. Between these two agencies I was recommended to apply with Project Access.
They say that if you really look you will see that there are truly Angels among us and I found them when I was accepted into Project Access. I was given the best medical care I have ever received, even when I had insurance.
When I had an appointment or consultation of any kind I was always treated with respect, compassion and received first rate medical care.
I was given breast health care from mammograms to ultra sound, removal of a cyst and the extensive follow up care need with it. I was given pelvic ultra sounds, MRI, a surgery to remove a very large mass from my ovary and partial hysterectomy. My hospital stay was donated as well as my follow-up care.
All of these services combined would have been a cumulative debt so great I don’t know how I would have ever recovered financially.
Fortunately for me and my family, today I feel the best I have since I can’t even remember when and I have a new beginning and a new life. I now am enrolled in college and am on my way to getting an education so I can be an asset to my community rather than a burden. I volunteer at SCRAPS (the local animal shelter) training dogs and testing them for adoptability safeness. It is nothing compared to Project Access but I hope that by giving something any time I have a chance or a gift to offer that it will honor the gift I have been given. I would not be able to have gotten on with my life or given back to my community had I not been helped by Project Access and the wonderful doctors, businesses and human beings who give of their services and themselves.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, with all my heart.
God Bless You All,
- Lorrie
